About Me

Are you in the Denver area and are pregnant or have a newborn?

Pregnancy is full of new experiences, excitement, and the beauty of a new life forming and entering the world; however, let’s face it, being pregnant or having a newborn can be scary.

If you are pregnant, are you confused by all the prenatal care options out there – from midwives, to physicians, to doulas? Perhaps you need to know the differences between hospital, birth center, and home births.  Maybe you just need an ally to support and comfort you throughout your pregnancy and during labor.

Did you just have a baby, and are struggling to keep up with everything you need to do, or just need an extra set of hands?  Do you have questions on how to care for a baby or need an ear to bend when you are overwhelmed?

If you answered yes to any of these questions, that’s where I come in to help. My doula training and personal experience will allow me to help you!

I'm Tamara!

Every family is unique and I strive to serve all family structures by offering you safe, continuous, informative, and caring support as you begin or expand your family.

I am a trained birth and postpartum doula who has experience in helping you get through the first 4 trimesters. I offer three continuous layers of support: prenatal, birth, and postpartum care.

I provide wisdom, guidance, advocacy, and support throughout your pregnancy and birth.  As a birth doula, I offer unconditional, non-judgmental support and encouragement to the laboring woman, her partner and/or family throughout labor, delivery, and after childbirth.

After baby arrives you can rely on me during those crucial first moments as a family.  I will take care of household duties, diaper changes, and soothing baby so you can get some much-needed rest.

I will provide you with information on sleep, feeding, infant care, and any other questions you have, so you can feel confident in how to care for your baby.

Mother of 4!

I am the mother of 4 babies that were all born prematurely, bringing the difficulties that premature babies bring. I also encountered several of the complications that pregnancy can cause.

When I had my children, there wasn’t a big doula population out there to help or I just didn’t know that help was available. I learned from that experience and became motivated to help others with their birth experience.

Over the years I discovered that becoming a parent does not mean you have arrived; it means your journey is just beginning.

I believe a parent is always evolving. My children are grown now; however, I continue to learn from them every day. Parenting is beautiful and complex.  I welcome the opportunity to help you begin your wonderful journey into parenthood.
